Ericka Ayodele Dixon is a Black, queer, disabled, nonbinary femme who survived both childhood and adult sexual violence.
She is the Disability Project Senior National Organizer at the Transgender Law Center. Ericka considers herself primarily an educator, writer and facilitator. She has extensive experience working with survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and state violence, employing an abolitionist lens.Ericka is also working to dismantle the disability carceral state which is found in the areas of guardianship, group homes and sheltered work spaces. As a survivor of sexual violence, this work is deeply personal to Ericka. Ericka holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University.
