At Galaxy Gives, we have spent the past five years fighting to build power in historically marginalized communities, catalyzing systemic changes to our justice system, building a more accessible democracy, and investing in groups that seek to reinvent the status quo. In 2022, we saw how our change model threatens entrenched interests and antiquated

modes of thinking about crime and justice.

The movements we’ve supported have seen real success. We’ve reduced the incarcerated population to less than 2 million for the first time in decades, galvanized community activists in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, staved off the most significant threats to our democratic process, and expanded ballot access in previously marginalized communities.
